PROJect summary
Within the scope of the project implemented with the support of International Medical Corps and partnership of Kucukcekmece Municipality, it has been aimed that the Syrian families who were forced to flee their country due to the war and their children socialise with the local people.
Target Group
- Children from Syria, local children, Syrian families and women
Project Aims
- For the persons to construct the concept of living together and for society to internalise non-prejudiced approaches
- To support the personal development of children of local folk and refugees
- To remove the language barrier which posits an impediment to communication
Activities
- To prepare bilingual informative brochures (Arabic-Turkish) and circulate them
- Outreach operations
- Consultation meetings
- Ebru (marbling), physical theatre, body percussion and short film workshops targeting children
- Hand craft workshops and vocational Turkish language courses targeting women
