Project Summary
The summer camp which was organized by the youth center Freizeitwerk Welper e.V. within the framework of the Erasmus+ program came to life through the participation of adolescents from Ireland, Mongolia, Germany and Turkey. Young Lives Foundation participated in the project with 15 adolescents and 3 teachers from the high schools Cumhuriyet Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi ve Gediktaş Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi. As part of the international meeting the children took part in activities in the subjects “peace, effective communication and equal opportunities in sports”.
The program of the summercamp enabled the adolescents to develop ideas on topics such as coexistence and intercultural communication and ensured that values such as fair play, respect and tolerance are implemented into their daily lives.
Within the scope of the project the adolescents also got the opportunity to take part in the social and cultural life of the host country.
